Therapeutic work with internet sexual offenders program address The Therapeutic Work With Internet Sexual Offender program is designed to address the specific challenges faced by individuals charged with online grooming, child abuse or child exploitation material offences. Offenders who commit sexual offences against children are increasingly being recognised, arrested and prosecuted. With this program they can be assessed and treated. Our intervention identifies the struggles in interpreting internet sexual offending when using the established sex offender research and thinking.
Prior to each participant undertaking the ‘Only Pictures’ program a number of psychological and risk assessments are undertaken. Dynamic risk factors identified are specifically targeted interventions in subsequent psychological therapy sessions and during program participation.
We offer support through the Court processes. At the conclusion of program and therapy, a comprehensive forensic psychological report is provided for presentation at Court sentence. Additionally, we also offer ongoing therapy and support to assist with reintegration into society, focusing on reducing the risk of reoffending and ensuring that participants are equipped with the tools necessary to lead law-abiding lives.
